Kyrgyzstan to implement 90-day coal price limit

The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan issued a circular on 26 September informing that Kyrgyzstan will implement temporary state regulation of coal prices for 90 days from 15 September and set a maximum price.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the decision is to prevent coal prices from rising and to ensure that they are affordable to the population.

The Kyrgyz Antimonopoly Regulatory Service will take state regulatory measures in accordance with the procedure for state regulation of prices of socially important goods approved by the Cabinet of Ministers (Government), the circular said.
